TWO YEARS LATER...

March marks the second anniversary of the site. Thanks to authors and readers for making it great.

WINNERS OF THE FOURTH TotZW CONTEST:

1st Place: Sweet Like Maple Sugar by Jeffrey DeRego

2nd Place: Black Cats and Hungry Ghosts by Natalie L. Sin

Thank you all for writing and reading the stories on our site. This contest period was the most heavily contested so far, and selecting winners has gotten more and more difficult.

Humanity has just barely triumphed over the zombie menace. Stories of the victories and failures, the struggles and the collapses, are just now filtering into mass media and the newly-reformed press. Everyone on Earth has a story about their experience in the zombie onslaught. Some stand out from others as examples of where humankind rose up to meet the challenge, or failed miserably to deal with the wave of ravenous dead.

This is a chance for those stories to be told - for those stories to pave the way to a secure future.

While not strictly fan fiction, these are stories inspired by the zombie apocalypse genre, especially the works of George Romero and Max Brooks' books World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War and The Zombie Survival Guide. Please purchase and study these and other sources of information, in hopes that humanity never again comes so close to complete extinction.

Stories on this site contain mature language and situations, and may be inappropriate for readers under the age of 18.
