A ZOMBIE’S BEST FRIEND By Sonny Zae
March 17, 2013  Humorous

Ramon was munching on a human leg bone, determined to get every last bit of meat, when he stopped chewing.

“What’s the matter?” Nash asked, noticing Ramon’s pause.  “Get someone stuck between your teeth?” (more…)

SYMPHONY By Chris A Peck
March 13, 2013  Short stories

He felt his way through the sparse forest. It was white from a blanket of recent snow. White and green and brown and gray. The pines had bent low to the ground from the snows weight. The sun had not yet come up and the reflection of the white snow was welcome in the surrounding dark. He could not feel his gloved hands. He could not feel anything. But still he walked, awkwardly on uneven terrain. (more…)

RECLAMATION INC By Gregg Wilson
March 7, 2013  Short stories

[Zachary Wallace is a tall weathered man who has spent the years of the Zombie War at the fringe of the system. He is famous for supplying large amounts of raw material, and his advertisements to hire Reclaimers, mercenaries who go into the Wasteland to recover raw material for the economy. He pays well, but his casualty rate is often high. I caught up with him in a gated community he helped build. His house is stocked with electronics and high end furniture. He offers me a drink of 30 year old Scotch, obviously looted from the Wilds. I accept it of course, it has been years since I have had a good glass of liquor.  (more…)

LET ZOMBIES LIVE, AS IT WERE By Daniel LaPonsie
March 5, 2013  Short stories

It was colder than than the back-side of Frosty the Snowman’s nuts, and yet my delivery van still stunk from three weeks’ worth of corpses. So I think I could be forgiven for being anxious to get to Detroit, to escape the aroma of rot, stale sweat, and piss. That’s why my eyes were continuously glancing at the time, counting the hours and minutes. That, and the fact that she’d be waking up soon, as they do. (more…)

TOBY By Lightheart
March 2, 2013  Short stories

I’ve been walking all day.  Walking alone!  Walking, looking for people.  Well, not just any people.  People, who are not trying to bite, me.  People, who are running and want to, play.  That’s what’s funny.  Most of the time people who run want to play, but not today.  And what’s even funnier is most of the time people don’t want to bite.  (more…)

TALE OF THE DEVIL’S TALE By Justin Dunne
  Short stories

Already I miss him. Every passing moment of time is painful. I miss him. I loved him like a brother.  In my life I spent more time with him then I did anybody else.  He knew everything about me and I knew everything about him.

BABY CLARK by Xavier Braze
February 21, 2013  Longer stories

At forty weeks and ready to pop, Carmela was already long past annoyed at her husband, and contrary to what he was always saying, she wasn’t hormonal.  Rather she was right.  She knew–and anybody with half a brain knew–that pregnant women shouldn’t be abandoned at home night after night while their husbands partied with their buddies all over downtown. Jäger-bombing like a frat boy with every skank in every bar, weeknight after weeknight, was not the way to bring a new life into the world.  (more…)

ZOMBIES FALL IN LOVE OVER A HEALTHY BABY By Jeremiah Smith

They’re staring at the healthy baby crying in the crib; he haven eaten the more nutritious portions of the young mother in the dining room, she the protective father in the front yard.  (more…)

SATURN, DEVOURING HIS CHILDREN By Craig Young
February 6, 2013  Short stories   Tags:

It was the first time that Dr. An Tsui-Chan had been back to Europe since the outbreak of the Zombie War. Most of her caseload for the International Criminal Court consisted of war crimes committed against civilians by human malefactors, and had taken her to Australasia, the United States and Latin and South America. (more…)

ZOMBIE FLASHMOB By Sonny Zae
January 29, 2013  Short stories

“We have a problem.” Nash was so upset that color had almost returned to his face.

“What do you mean?”  Ramon looked up from the rusty knife blade he had been sharpening on a rock. (more…)
